Winter in Hamburg

In recent years, we rarely had snow in Hamburg. This year however, we got a few days of snow and some freezing temperatures, so I went out and took some pictures!

Temperatures went down to around -12° C in the morning. At one point I even started to hope that the Alster, a river flowing through Hamburg, might freeze enough that it could safely carry people. Last time the Alster froze enough for crowds to stroll over was 2012.

Sadly the cold weather didn't last long and now it is getting warmer. Actually, temperatures went up over 20° C from one weekend to the next one and it's feeling like spring now. So here are a few more pictures I took of the cold days.
